Frisco to Welcome 1,000 Acre Grand Park

A spectacular new park is under development within a short drive of the Lexington and Fields communities of luxury homes in Frisco.
Grand Park will be a 1,000+ acre mega park with something for everyone. The park will stretch from Lake Lewisville to the Dallas North Tollway and FM423, creating a green space bigger than Central Park in New York City.
After years of planning and getting input from Frisco residents, park designers have included features to serve people of any age or ability. Grand Park will be organized into three zones with themes of “Discover, Play and Explore.” Developed areas will be interspersed with natural areas such as wetlands and wildflower meadows for a well-rounded experience of the outdoors.
Some of the developed areas will include walking and biking paths, a plaza with fountains, a splash pad and play areas, a skate park, sports courts, dog park and much more. Natural elements will range from wetlands and ponds to an orchard, gardens and a nature center.
The very first element of the park is the Big Bluestem Trail. Now open to the public, the unpaved trail starts at 5001 Cotton Gin Road. It’s a little over 2 miles long and winds through currently undeveloped land.
To accomplish everything in the plan, Grand Park will be built in phases over the coming years. The first major phase is a 70-acre portion called Civic Park. Work is expected to begin in late 2025 with a goal for completion by April 2027. The centerpiece of Civic Park is Arrowhead Pond. Visitors can kayak on the pond, walk or bike on the trails, view natural wetlands, attend concerts and events and enjoy picnics. Kids will have a splash pad and a play sculpture.
Grand Park is only 15 minutes from Lexington Frisco and just over 10 minutes from Fields. When you live in one of these luxury communities, you have access to on-site amenities as well as all the benefits of the future Grand Park.
